NON CHILL FILTERED. NO ADDED COLOUR  

A limited edition release bottled at 8 years old. Double distilled in copper pot stills, this non-peated single malt spent time maturing in three cask types. The virgin American oak lends vanilla, caramel and light spice characters. Where as the ex bourbon casks mellows the palate by adding a creamy texture which balances out the tannic nature of the virgin American oak. Finally the Muscat cask integrates all three casks by adding sweetness and floral notes which adds complexity to this rich single malt.

We called it Cantankerous because it was bloody hard to get perfect. Winning Double Gold and the Trophy for Best in World Whisky in 2023 proved it was worth the effort.
A very special, very moreish whisky. 

Aroma: Complex and intriguing with floral and spicy notes with hints of candied citrus peel and caramel.

Palate: Full bodied with a sweet entry which leads to dried fruits, roasted nuts, burnt sugar and a spicy long finish.
